CHARLESTON, S.C. - Montreal's Eugenie Bouchard advanced to the semifinals of the Family Circle Cup tennis tournament Friday with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win over second-seeded Serbian Jelena Jankovic.
Bouchard, the sixth seed, won four straight games to take the first set and looked poised to capture the match early with the second tied 4-4.
Jankovic won the next two games to force a third set. But Bouchard took control and beat a former world No. 1 for the second straight day.
Bouchard eliminated American Venus Williams in third-round action Wednesday. She'll next face the winner of the quarter-final between Lucie Safarova and Andrea Petkovic.
