Temperatures to heat up again in Okanagan

OKANAGAN - Back to school is kicking off with a little rain this morning but by the end of the week we can expect highs well above seasonal normals throughout the Southern Interior.

Temperatures will remain below seasonal normal lows of 21 Celsius today, Sept. 8, but it's expected to reach 23 C Wednesday before inching up to 28 C for the weekend, according to Environment Canada.

The showers greeting us this morning will taper off by the afternoon and then we can expect cloud cover. Wednesday will bring a mix of sun and cloud and then sunshine is expected for the rest of the week.

Overnight lows will range from 13 C tonight down to 8 C, but will remain within a couple degrees of the seasonal normal of 10 C throughout the week.
