Temperatures on the rebound this week in Kamloops

The sunny skies in Kamloops this morning should be a fixture for most of the week, with clouds expected to roll in on Friday before sun returns on the weekend.

The weather in Kamloops should have a more springlike feel to it this week especially after the unseasonably cool start to April.

Kamloops should see mostly sunny skies for the next few days with daytime highs reaching 18 Celsius on Thursday, April 9, which is 3 C above the normal high for Kamloops at this time of year.

It’s also considerably warmer in Kamloops than central Saskatchewan and Manitoba where Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning. The high today, April 6, in Saskatoon is expected to reach -1 C with up to 15 centimetres of snow.

Environment Canada says to expect sunny skies and a high of 13 C in Kamloops today followed by a low of 0 C overnight. The city’s normal average low temperature is 2 C this time of year.

The sun continues tomorrow and Wednesday with highs of 15 C and 14 C, followed by clear night skies and lows of -3 C and 2 C respectively.

Thursday is expected to be warm and sunny with a high of 18 C and low of 3 C.

Clouds and a 60 per cent chance of showers are in the forecast for Good Friday, with a high of 13 C and a low of -1 C.

The sunshine returns Saturday and Sunday, with a slight cool down in temperatures expected to 13 C Saturday and 15 C on Sunday.
