Teenager assaulted at Inks Lake bush party

KAMLOOPS – A 16-year-old girl was assaulted by four other female party goers at an Inks Lake “Passing the Torch” bush party at roughly 1 a.m. on Canada Day, July 1, police say.

Very little is known about the incident, except it allegedly occurred when the victim was swarmed by four others and assaulted, according to a release from Kamloops RCMP.

The victim was injured and required medical attention as a result of the assault. Kamloops Rural RCMP is looking for assistance from the public. If you witnessed the incident or have any information relating to this matter please contact the Kamloops Rural RCMP at 250-314-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

A sexual assault stemming from a similar party was reported in 2013 as well.
