Teck Q2 profit drops to $312 million from $663 million in 2011

VANCOUVER - Mining giant Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B) has recored a sharp drop in second-quarter profit. The Vancouver-based company says it had an adjusted profit of $312 million, or $0.53 per share, in the second quarter compared with $663 million, or $1.12 per share, in the same period in 2011.
