Due to high bacterial counts, swimming is not recommended at Coldstream’s popular Kal Beach until further notice.

The District of Coldstream said in a media release issued today, Aug. 12, it is discouraging swimming at the beach on Kalamalka Lake due to bacterial counts that exceed Health Canada guidelines.

Signage will be posted at the beach to warn users of the swimming risk, the district said.
