Suspicious fire damages three Kelowna businesses

KELOWNA - The Kelowna Fire Department extinguished a suspicious fire in the early morning hours today.

Around 1:55 a.m. today, May, 6, the fire department received a call about flames inside a building on the 1500 block of Banks Road. Crews arrived and were able to quickly put out the flames.

There was no one inside and no injuries reported, accoridng to a press release.

The Taco Del Mar at the location sustained significant damage, while Hooligans and Safeway, businesses next door, received more minor damage.

RCMP were called to the scene as the fire was deemed suspicious, including a smashed glass door.
