ENDERBY - An Enderby man believed to be under the influence of alcohol caused a three-vehicle collision that saw one vehicle roll, after he veered into the opposite lane while driving on Highway 97A earlier this week.

RCMP say a 45-year-old Enderby man was driving southbound on Highway 97A near the Highway 97B junction when his vehicle drifted into the northbound lane of traffic causing the collision shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21.

RCMP Const. Kelly Brett says in a media release the two northbound vehicles were forced off the road and one rolled in an effort to avoid a head-on collision.

Brett says the alleged drifting driver displayed symptoms of alcohol consumption and was given a 90-day driving prohibition.

The drivers and passengers of all three vehicles sustained only minor injuries and were taken to the nearest medical facility, she says.
