KELOWNA - A Kelowna man was arrested for using a knife to rob a department store and a 7-Eleven last week.

Bradley Christopher Collingwood was arrested in Orchard Park Mall for allegedly using a knife to steal a pair of $250 sunglasses from The Bay just after 10 a.m. May 17, RCMP say in a release. Const. Jesse O'Donaghey says they suspect he is the same man who used a knife to rob a 7-Eleven just before 4 a.m. that same morning.

“The suspect, who investigators recognized from the video surveillance footage of the convenience store robbery earlier that morning, was still wearing the clothing seen in the footage and found in possession of the knife investigators believe was used in the commission of the robbery,” he says.

Collingwood has been charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.
