KAMLOOPS - A woman has been arrested following a hold up at a business in Salmon Arm last week.

A woman entered the store brandishing a knife and demanded money on Thursday, June 6, according to an RCMP media release. A hold up alarm alerted the RCMP of the incident a 10:36 p.m. RCMP don't identify the store.

After fleeing the scene on foot, she returned home, dropped off some of the stolen goods and changed, police say.

The incident had been caught on the store’s surveillance cameras, and RCMP were able to identify the suspect.

Police located the woman one hour later two blocks away in her vehicle. When police located her they found items pertaining to the robbery on her person, and recovered stolen goods after searching her apartment.

No one was harmed in the incident.

Police say the suspect was known to the staff of the store.

RCMP have not identified the woman, who is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.
