OKANAGAN - The sunshine and mild temperatures are forecast to continue in the Okanagan this week.

Environment Canada meteorologist Bobby Sekhon says a ridge of high pressure will dominate the Okanagan weather pattern for at least the next week, bringing mostly sunny skies and above normal temperatures for this time of year.

The forecast calls for sunny skies today, Oct. 15, with a high of 15 Celsius and a low tonight of 1 C.

Tomorrow is expected to be much the same with sunshine and a high of 16 C. The mercury will drop to 1 C overnight.

For Wednesday through to Saturday, the weather office is predicting a mix of sun and cloud each day with daytime highs of around 15 C and overnight lows a few degrees above the freezing mark.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 12 C and lows of 2 C.
