OKANAGAN - It was a hot, sunny and stormy weekend and this week is expected to be a bit closer to normal Okanagan summer weather.
Temperatures reached as high as 36 Celsius Sunday as storms rolled through the region. While there is a risk of thunderstorms again today the chance of rain forecast for the North Okanagan.
Environment Canada is calling for temperatures to reach the low-30s today before dropping down to the high-20s for the rest of the week. Most days are expected to be full of sunshine this week as we stay just above seasonal normals of 27 C.
In Vernon, temperatures are expected to reach 32 C today, July 20, and 27 C on Tuesday before working back up to a high of 30 C on Friday.
Kelowna and Penticton will be just a bit warmer, with temperatures expected to reach 33 C today and then 28 C on Tuesday. The forecast calls for a high of 30 C by Friday again.
