Sunny and warm in the Okanagan this week

There's nothing but sunshine and warm temperatures in the Okanagan forecast for this week.

KELOWNA  - It looks like spring has arrived with a vengeance in the Okanagan a couple of days before the official date.

Environment Canada is offering a simple forecast for the entire valley - sunny skies and temperatures in the teens for the remainder of the week.

If you’re looking for precipitation of any kind this isn’t the week for you, as today, March 18, will be sunny with a high of around 13 Celsius, followed by clear skies overnight and a low of about -1 C.

More sunshine is in store tomorrow through Friday with highs of 15 C on Tuesday, 13 C on Wednesday and Thursday, and 12 C on Friday. Overnight lows will remain above zero this week.

The weekend is looking just as good with a mix of sun and cloud on Saturday with a high of 16 C, followed by sunny skies on Sunday with a high 15 C.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of around 10 C and lows of about -1 C.

The first official day of spring is Wednesday, March 20.
