Sunny and hot start to week in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - Some sunny, some unsettled and some warm weather is in the Kamloops forecast for part of the week.

Environment Canada meteorologist Bobby Sekhon says temperatures will stay on the mild side this week, but an upper level low will bring unsettled conditions to the region on Wednesday and Thursday.

Kamloops can expect sunny skies today, May 27, with a high of 29 Celsius and an overnight low of 10 C.

Tomorrow the mercury is expected to climb to 31 C under sunny skies with an overnight low of 16 C.

A 30 per cent chance of showers creeps into the weather mix on Wednesday, with a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 27 C and a low of 14 C.

The forecast calls for aa 60 per cent chance of showers on Thursday with a  high of 28 C and an overnight low of 14 C.

On Friday, the skies are expected to clear a bit, with a mix of sun and cloud and a 30 per cent chance of showers. Friday’s high is expected to reach 28 C, with a low of 16 C.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 23 C and lows of 9 C.
