Sunday's sun and cloud mix highlight of mostly grey Okanagan weekend

It won't be great weather for activities on the lake this week with the exception of Sunday, when the Okanagan should see a sun cloud mix and a high of 9 Celsius.

Clouds will dominate the Okanagan weather picture over the next few days, according to the latest forecast from Environment Canada.

If you’re looking for a chance to escape self isolation for some sunshine and Vitamin D, Sunday should be your best bet. The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 9 Celsius and a low of 3. Otherwise, it's mostly clouds with possible showers through next Wednesday.

Today, March 26, Okanagan residents can expect mainly cloudy skies and a high of 9 C, with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a low to 3 C overnight.

Friday brings with it cloudy skies and a 30 per cent chance of showers, with a high to 10 C in Vernon and Kelowna, and a low of 3 C.

It’s expected to reach 9 C in Penticton on Friday.

The clouds continue into Saturday with a high of 10 C. There is a 60 per cent chance of showers Saturday night as the low dips to 2 C.

Sunday’s mix of sun and cloud is expected to give way to more clouds Monday with a high of 8 C.

There is a 40 per cent chance of showers Monday night, with a low of 4 C

Rain moves back into the forecast with a 60 per cent chance of showers Tuesday, the high reaching 10 C.

Those showers are expected to continue Tuesday night, with a low of 2 C, followed by more clouds and a high of 10 C on Wednesday.

Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton normally experience a high and low of 11 C and 0 C this time of year.
