Sun Peaks offering free concert filled with rock tribute bands

SUN PEAKS — For one weekend, Sun Peaks Resort is inviting you to enjoy a weekend filled with live music for free.

The 10th annual Retro Concert Weekend features live tribute bands with different acts performing hits inspired by Tom Petty, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Santana and many more from August 23 to 25.

The outdoor concert will take place just steps away from outdoor patios and The Village Day Lodge.

Here's what the lineup looks like:

Friday August 23 

7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - ZZ Top performed by Legzz

9 p.m. to 11 p.m. - Santana performed by Paisley Groove on the Upper Plaza Stage

Saturday August 24

2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - 80's Rock Chicks performed by Bonnie Kilroe

4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.  - The Tragically Hip performed by The Hip Show

7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Led Zeppelin performed by No Quarter

9 p.m. to 11 p.m. - Blonde Diamond presented by Morrisey's Public House on the Upper Plaza Stage

9 p.m. - late - The Decoys performing at Bottoms Bar & Grill 

Sunday August 25

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Neil Young performed by Live Rust

2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - 70s, 80s & Neil Diamond Tribute performed by Spencer and The Scattered Atoms
