KAMLOOPS - It’s that time of year for the annual Kamloops RCMP's ‘Stuff the Cruiser’ event, which will help provide local families with clothes, toys and food for the holiday season.
On Sunday, Dec. 13, RCMP cruisers will be parked outside Toys R Us and Walmart from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect donations from the public. The community is encouraged to ‘stuff’ the cruiser with their contributions, which will go towards holiday hampers created by Christmas Amalgamated. The group is hoping to deliver up to 2,000 hampers this year.
Suggested donation items include clothing for newborn children, baby blankets, developmental toys for newborns and toddlers, toys and grooming products for teenaged boys, chocolates and mixed nuts, Christmas cake and gift cards.
All items should be new, but second-hand winter coats are encouraged as donations as well.
For more information on the event, contact Sally Whitson of Christmas Amalgamated at 250-376-0777.
