Strangers found sleeping in Kamloops resident's bed

A Kamloops resident came home to a shocking surprise Thanksgiving morning when they found two strangers in their bed.

It's unclear how long they were there or when the resident came home, but the guests slept in well passed their welcome when they were arrested before 11 a.m.

Kamloops RCMP officers and a police dog unit showed up to the Elm Avenue home on Oct. 10, around 10:50 a.m., according to an RCMP news release.

A man and a woman were arrested inside the house, each facing a potential charge for breaking and entering, RCMP said.

The pair were released with conditions and a court date, and police are expected to forward charge recommendations to the Crown.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-36247.
