KELOWNA — Police are urging parents and kids to be on the alert after a man in a grey van jumped out and aggressively approached a 14-year-old girl in Glenmore.
The girl was walking home from school near the corner of Cross and Glenmore Road when the van with two Caucasian men inside crossed the median towards her and stopped. One man jumped out and began yelling at girl for no apparent reason. She was able to call for help and was given a ride home from a friend.
"Whenever possible, regardless of age, it is always recommended to use the buddy system and walk with a friend," said Kelowna RCMP Const. Kris Clark.
