Diamond and ruby-encrusted jewelry stolen from Langley home: police

LANGLEY, B.C. - RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding thousands of dollars worth of diamond- and ruby-encrusted jewelry stolen from a home in Langley, B.C.

Cpl. Holly Marks says thieves kicked in the front door and took gold and silver chains, a men's 14-carat gold puzzle ring with 15 diamonds and 12 rubies, a 1.5-carat diamond ring and a three-quarter carat maple leaf diamond ring.

Marks says the house was ransacked during the heist in October and cash was also taken but the homeowner's main concern is getting the sentimental items back.

Police are continuing to check pawn shops and monitor online shopping websites.

Anyone with information can offer it anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers or providing any tips online, via text or Facebook.
