Most actively traded companies on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange markets

TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (13,831.58 up 59 points):

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B) Transportation equipment. Down 35 cents, or 7.74 per cent, at $4.17 on 35.6 million shares. The company's shares plunged after it announced a delay in delivery of the first of its new CSeries aircraft until the second half of 2015. The first CSeries planes had previously been expected to be ready for service by late this year or early in 2015.

Air Canada (TSX:AC.B). Airlines. Down four cents, or 0.45 per cent, at $8.94 on 7.9 million shares.

Osisko Mining Corp. (TSX:OSK). Miner. Unchanged at $6.25 on 6.5 million shares.

Teranga Gold Corp. (TSX:TGZ) Miner. Down two cents, or 3.08 per cent, at 63 cents on 5.6 million shares.

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ) Oil and gas. Unchanged at $35.89 on 5.1 million shares.

Lundin Mining Corp. (TSX:LUN) Miner. Up 19 cents, or 3.87 per cent, at $5.10 on 5.1 million shares.

Toronto Venture Exchange (974.54 down 1.27 points):

Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. (TSXV:GWG). Miner. Up four cents, or 57.14 per cent, at 11 cents on 11.4 million shares.

Alexander Energy Ltd. (TSXV:ALX). Oil and gas. Up 10 cents, or 12.82 per cent, at 88 cents on 4.1 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Saputo Inc. (TSX:SAP) Dairy. Up 74 cents, or 1.45 per cent, at $51.68 on 286,188 shares. Montreal-based Saputo moved much closer to acquiring a majority stake in Australia's oldest dairy processor after rival bidder Bega Cheese Ltd. said it would sell its 18.8 per cent stake in Warrnambool Cheese & Butter to Saputo.
