Compliments Stir-Fry Style Vegetables recalled due to Listeria scare

OTTAWA - Sobeys Inc. is recalling Compliments brand Stir-Fry Style Vegetables due to possible Listeria contamination.

The affected product was sold in Ontario in 340 g packages with a best before date of Jan. 21, 2014 (UPC code 0 68820 10648 7).

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

The Listeria bacteria can cause vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.

However, there are no reports of any illnesses linked to the recalled product.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says it`s conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
