Enderby's famous drive-in movie theatre is preparing to open for the season.

"The Starlight Drive-In is currently adjusting operations to provide our customers with a refreshing outdoor escape during this challenging time," Starlight Drive-In movie theatre said on its website.

The theatre will respect government regulations and maintain appropriate social distancing for staff and customers.

Operational changes include:

  • Online ticket purchases only.
  • Field markings to ensure a minimum of 14 feet between vehicles.
  • Concession and restrooms operating with strict social distance guidelines.
  • Eliminating all possible touch points between staff and guests.
  • Shortened pre-show and intermissions limiting the time spent at the drive-in.
  • More open nights than normal due to limited capacity.
  • No picnic tables on the field.
  • A test weekend will be held, further limiting the capacity to insure that guidelines are sufficient.

The drive-in theatre does not yet have a confirmed opening date but staff say they are working hard to keep their usual May season opening.
