KELOWNA – Paging all Star Trek nerds and music lovers, Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage concert tour is making a stop at Prospera Place next spring.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, June 12, for the Kelowna stop on the tour which will launch following an engagement at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, on Nov. 1, 2015.
The concert is produced by CineConcerts, a company known for its live-to-production symphonic concert experiences. It has had successful productions based on The Godfather and Gladiator movies.
“The Star Trek franchise has for many years been an important and meaningful part of our culture in so many ways,” CineConcerts founder and conductor Justin Freer says in a media release.
The concert will feature music from the Star Trek movies and TV shows with the visuals projected on a giant screen.
The concert will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Prospera Place.
Ticket prices range from $45 to $125 and can be purchased at the Select Your Tickets website, by phone at 250-762-5050 or at the Prospera Place box office.
