Stabbing, beatings keep police busy

KAMLOOPS - Police say one person remains in hospital after a night of mayhem and violence in the city.

Police were called to the river shore on Don St. where two men aged 31 and 27 were found fighting. One was struck over the head and the other had multiple superficial stab wounds. They were both taken to hospital and the man with stab wounds was admitted. Police are recommending charges against both of them.

Then early this morning police were called to a home on Leigh Road where a woman reported an assault on two friends aged 31 and 37. She said the two men were attacked by three masked men with baseball bats. Then men were treated by ambulance for head wounds. According to Sgt. Dave Prentice, police suspect the men knew their attackers because they refused to cooperate with police. Charges are being considered.
