Springtime? Potential for both rain and sun this weekend

There is some rain and possible flurries in Kamloops over the next few days, but the silver lining in the forecast is temperatures are expected to remain a few degrees above normal for this time of year.

A mix of conditions can be expected over the weekend in Kamloops but temperatures should remain a few degrees above normal into next week.

Environment Canada says to expect a 30 per cent chance of flurries today in Kamloops under cloudy skies, followed by a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon.

Today’s high should reach 8 Celsius with a low of 2 C under partly cloudy skies.

Friday should see a mix of sun and cloud with wind becoming east at 20 km/h in the afternoon, along with a high of 9 C.

Friday night there is a 30 per cent chance of showers with a low of 4 C expected.

A 30 per cent chance of showers extends into Saturday under cloudy skies, with a high reaching 9 C.

Saturday night should see continuing cloudy skies and a low of -3 C.

A mix of sun and cloud is in store for Sunday, along with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 9 C.

There is a 40 per cent chance of showers or flurries overnight with a low to 0 C.

The work week starts on Monday with periods of rain expected in Kamloops, with a high of 7 C.

There is s 30 per cent chance of showers overnight along with cloudy conditions and a low to 0 C.

Tuesday and Wednesday should see a mix of sun and cloud and highs of 10 C and 8 C respectively.

Kamloops’ normal high and low for this time of year is 7 C and 3 C.
