KELOWNA - A mix of all sorts of spring weather is coming to the Okanagan as we head toward the first day of the season.
Today, March 16, we can look forward to a mix of sun and cloud with a high of up to 9 Celsius, according to Environment Canada, and a 30 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. The chance of showers tapers off overnight, but the clouds will remain as temperatures dip to 1 C.
Tomorrow we'll see more of the same with a mix of sun and cloud. Showers are likely in the afternoon. A high of 8 C is expected. Overnight, the chance of showers increases as it cools off to 3 C.
The weekend is going to start off a bit damp, as showers are predicted Saturday, but temperatures will remain spring like at 10 C. The clouds and showers will clear up overnight, but a bit of spring chill will arrive with a low of -2 C.
It will warm up on Sunday with a high of 9 C, and a mix of sun and cloud. The mercury will drop to -5 C overnight.
Next week the daytime warming trend will continue, with highs in the low teens and mostly sunny days. Night time temperatures are expected to be around the freezing mark.
