VERNON – There is no shortage of things to do with the children over the two-week spring break in Kelowna.

Spring break kicks off Monday, March 16 before wrapping up on Friday, March 27 with all kinds of activities and day camps planned by various organizations around town. The best advice is to pre-register for the camps in case the one you want is full.

The Okanagan Science Centre’s spring break camps are famous for their hands-on, interactive discovery. With names like Play with Potions and Edible Science, how can you go wrong. All the details are available at the Science Centre’s website.

Greater Vernon Parks and Rec has all kinds of camps planned for spring break. From sports to art, or just plain fun, there is something for all age groups. Click here to check out the spring break activities brochure that includes swim times at the pool.

At the Vernon Library, the staff has some great programs lined up for all ages. There are craft workshops and even a puppet show. For more information go to the Okanagan Regional Library website.

Pacific Sports Vernon is back with their XploreSportZ camps. Children ages nine to 12 can experience new and exciting sports with the help of certified coaches. All the details about camp content, dates, times and registration can be found at the website.

The Village Green mall is getting in on the spring break action with creative arts workshops for the kids. The Village Green website is the place to go for more information on the free workshops.

And it’s spring skiing and boarding at Silver Star Mountain Resort, which is open daily during the two weeks of spring break. Check out the website for more information.
