With the onset of colder weather, the District of West Kelowna is starting to close its sports fields for the season.
Fields are being prepared for winter and closed after the last scheduled game or practice takes place on each field. The last fields will be closed the week of November 4.
Parks Department staff requests that the public stay off athletic fields until they reopen in the spring, to prevent turf damage. Fields typically start reopening in mid to late April and can be booked through the Recreation and Culture Department at 778-797-2265.
