Speed likely a factor in Black Mountain roll over

Speed is the suspected cause of a Monday morning roll over at the top of Black Mountain.

KELOWNA - Speed is likely the reason a man driving to Big White to go snowboarding rolled his truck Monday morning.

A witness to the accident says they were in the passing lane of Hwy 33 when a black pickup truck blew by them "going bonkers fast" in the slow lane shortly after 9 a.m.

A few seconds later they saw the truck on it's roof approximately one kilometre west of the Goudie Road turn off.

Firefighters on scene say the driver was the sole occupant and was not injured. Traffic heading up the hill was slowed but lanes in both direction remain open.
