WEST KELOWNA – West Kelowna Fire and Rescue has become a victim of crime.
Early Saturday morning, thieves broke into the department’s Rescue Incident Command Vehicle, which was parked, in the Rose Valley neighbourhood overnight.
“Several items were taken most notably one portable Kenwood radio and two Scott NXG Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Harnesses used by firefighters to enter structure fires for victim search and fire extinguishment,” assistant fire chief Chad Gartrell says in a media release.
Gartrell is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of their stolen property to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880.
