Heavy rains have caused some flooding in Kelowna today, June 14.
Water has been running across Casorso Road at Swamp Road, according to a news release issued by the recently activated Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Centre. The road remains open for now.
KLO Road is having intermittent closures due to debris clearing.

Bulman Road, near Kelowna International Airport, is closed until further notice and the southwest corner of the airport’s long term parking lot has some flooding, requiring 20 vehicles to be moved.
Radant Road, south of Mission Creek and west of Lakeshore Road, is also closed. Sandbags have been deployed there and may be available in other locations if needed.
“Property owners in flood prone and low-lying areas are responsible for protecting their own properties from possible flood damage,” the news release says. “Equipping yourself with a flood plan and the tools needed in case of a flood can help prepare you.”
