PENTICTON - Depending where you live in the South Okanagan and Similkameen, you may or may not be voting for a regional district director.
In some areas there is going to be an actual contest election day, Oct. 20, with more than one candidate running, according to a Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen media release, while candidates in other areas have areas have already won by acclamation.
There weren’t enough candidates to elect members to the Olalla Local Community Commission. The regional district says it will appoint four qualified people to the positions.
There will be an election in the following electoral areas:

Area”D” Okanagan Falls
Ron Obirek
Rodney Penway
Bill Schwarz
Area “E” Naramata
Tim Hodgkinson
Karla Kozakevich
Area “F” Okanagan Lake West, West Bench

Ashley Justin

Area “G” Keremeos rural, Hedley

Area “I” Skaha West/Kaleden/Apex
