Rangers voted by rival clubs to 3rd division, lowest league in Scottish football

GLASGOW, Scotland - Scottish clubs have voted for embattled Rangers to begin next season in the third division, the country's lowest league.
Twenty-five of the 30 clubs in Scotland for the placement of the country's most successful club, champion of the Scottish Premier League a record 54 times.
Rangers, in bankruptcy protection because of massive tax debts, was barred last week from returning to the SPL, and hoped to restart in the next tier, the first division.
