Sobeys, which is owned by parent company Empire Co. (TSX:EMP.A), announced Thursday that it will closing about 50 underperforming grocery stores across the country.
A company document obtained by The Canadian Press outlines which stores are scheduled to close and when the lights will go dark at each location. Some of the locations fall under the Sobeys brand, while others are IGA, Foodland Safeway and Cash & Carry stores.
Here's a list of 39 of the stores slated to close. The company declined to provide a full list of locations.
