A snowfall warning has been issued for the Trans-Canada Highway between Eagle Pass and Rogers Pass.

A strong Pacific cold front is expected to bring approximately 15 centimetres of snow to the area.

Environment Canada says the snow will begin to develop early tonight, March 3, becoming heavier around midnight. It’s expected the total 15 centimetres will fall by tomorrow morning.

The warning reminds drivers that conditions can change suddenly and cause hazardous driving conditions and reminds people to use winter driver practices and to have appropriate winter tires or chains.
