FILE PHOTO - Got your snow tires on? Heavy snow is expected on the Trans-Canada Highway tonight and tomorrow over Eagle and Rogers Pass.

Some B.C mountain passes could see some significant snow tonight.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Trans-Canada Highway, Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, as a Pacific low pressure system is forecast to move over the region overnight, Oct. 15.

Between 15 and 20 cm could fall on the pass overnight and into Friday afternoon.

The snow is expected to turn to rain Friday afternoon before tapering off later in the evening.

Motorists should be prepared for slippery road conditions and changing weather conditions.
