The Snowed In Comedy tour will make its annual trek through the Southern Interior this winter, with stops in Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon.

According to the Snowed In Comedy Tour website, what started twelve years ago is now one of the largest Canadian comedy tours, which has also toured in Australia, the US, France and Switzerland.

The Canadian tour kicks off in Kamloops on Jan. 3 and the comedians are set to hit nearly 40 other cities as they travel across the country until late April.

Some of the comedians on the tour this year include the host of Video on Trial and three-time winner of the Female Comedian of the Year Debra DiGiovanni, Just for Laughs winner Dan Quinn, five-time nominee for the Canadian comedian of the year Pete Zedlacher and $25,000 Great Canadian Laugh-Off winner Paul Myrehaugand. Other comedians will make specials appearances at certain shows, depending on the date.

The tour kicks off in Kamloops with two shows at the Sagebrush Theatre on Jan. 3 and Jan. 4.

The group will perform at the Cleland Theatre in Penticton on Feb. 7.

The following day on Feb. 8, the comedians will take the stage at the  Kelowna Community Theatre.

The show picks up again on Feb. 13 at Silver Star Mountain Resort in the NATC Auditorium, located at 23 Shortt Street. The comedians take the stage at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre on Feb. 14.

Tickets for the events go for $45, with discounted rates for students and seniors. For more information about the Snowed In Comedy tour and to buy tickets, go here.
