Snow clearing in downtown Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - City crews are continuing to remove accumulated snow from city streets. Residents are notified that crews will be working downtown on Seymour Street, Lansdowne Street and Victoria Street starting the evening of Dec. 29.

Crews will continue to work to remove accumulated snow through Dec. 31. All work will take place between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Residents are asked not to park on the streets in the above areas during these times to allow for the machinery to effectively remove the accumulated snow. Parked cars will be towed to adjacent streets. Please note that these times and locations are subject to change based on weather conditions and other demands.

The majority of local and residential roads have been cleared, however as the plows make their way to the remaining secondary roads, residents are asked to avoid parking on the streets when possible. Expect windrows as a result of the plowing, and note that the removal of windrows is the responsibility of the home or business owner.

Questions and concerns should be directed to 250-828-3461.
