An earthquake was reported this morning in the Pacific Ocean near Port Hardy.
At 5:43 a.m. today, March 2, the 4.2 magnitude quake was reported west of the small Vancouver Island community.
According to Natural Resources Canada, no damage has been reported and no damage is expected.
A tsunami is also not expected.
