Some Interior residents may have felt a minor earthquake that originated between Kamloops and Kelowna this morning.
According to the website My Earthquake Alerts the small quake originated one kilometre below the ground roughly 60 km south of Kamloops at 8:39 a.m. today, Nov. 1.
The earthquake, in the Quilchena area east of Merritt, registered 2.2 on the Richter scale and may have been felt slightly by some people.
There have been no reports of property damage or injuries.
A 2.2 quake was recorded east of Merritt around 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017.
