Lindsey Vonn says knee feels stable after Lake Louise training run

LAKE LOUISE, Alta. - U.S. ski star Lindsey Vonn has completed her first training run for the women's World Cup downhill race at Lake Louise.

The 29-year-old crashed in training two weeks ago in Colorado and partially tore a reconstructed ligament in her right knee.

Vonn said her knee felt stable after the training run. Her time put her 20th after the first 35 racers down the mountain.

A second training run is scheduled for Thursday. Vonn says she'll decide then if her knee is ready to race in the first downhill Friday.

Vonn has won a record 14 times at Lake Louise and swept all three races the last two years.

She tore ligaments in her knee at the world championships in February.
