PARK CITY, Utah - Calgary's Sarah Reid captured a bronze medal Friday in a World Cup skeleton event.
The 26-year-old posted a two-run time of one minute 40.60 seconds to capture her sixth career medal.
"I had good training leading into the race and things went good so I'm happy with it," said Reid.
American Noelle Pikus-Pace claimed the gold medal in 1:39.54. Elizabeth Yarnold of Great Britain finished second in 1:40.22.
Robynne Thompson of Calgary was 10th at 1:41.08 while Cassie Hawrysh, of Brandon, Man., finished 11th in 1:41.13.
In the men's event, Calgary's John Fairbairn matched his career-best result, finishing eighth in 1:38.29.
Russia's Alexander Tretiakov won his first race of the season in 1:37.59. Latvia's Martins Dukurs was second in 1:37.71 while American Matthew Anotine took third in 1:37.73.
Eric Neilson, of Kelowna, B.C., was 12th in 1:38.59 while Dave Greszczyszyn, of Brampton, Ont., was 20th in 1:39.13.
