It’s been six years since Colleen Smith was last seen.

On Feb. 9, 2016, the Rock Creek resident, who was 50 years old at the time, failed to show up for work.

Her blue 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt was found in the Walmart parking lot in Kelowna two months later. Surveillance footage showed it was parked there for some time.

Since that time, police have gathered no new leads, Midway RCMP Cpl. Phil Peters said.

“There’s been no new information that’s been received or gathered in the investigation so it’s really just dead in the water at this point,” he said.

Cpl. Peters said when he last read through the file, no suspects identified. Foul play isn’t suspected in her disappearance.

“It’s one of those situations where investigators have an idea, but a lot of those times those ideas don't come to fruition unless there’s something substantial that (comes up,)” he said.

Smith is described as a Caucasian woman, 5"5' tall, 154 lb. with blond hair and blue eyes. She wears glasses.

If you know anything about Smith's disappearance, call the Midway RCMP at 250-469-7807 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
