KAMLOOPS - A six car collision blocked highway traffic and five people were taken to the hospital.
The Kamloops RCMP and EHS were alerted to a six vehicle collision yesterday, Sep. 1, at approximately 5 p.m, according to an RCMP press release issued today, Sep. 2.
In the fast lane of east bound traffic on the Trans-Canada Hwy at Vicars Road, the collision caused a one lane blockage of the highway for approximately two hours. The accident resulted in five people being taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All six cars needed to be towed from the scene.
With the last summer long weekend, the police are reminding the public to drive a safe distance away from other cars and to remain patient and aware of safety.
