Silvercorp Metals post lower Q1 profit as sales down on lower prices, production

VANCOUVER - Silvercorp Metals Inc. (TSX:SVM) says it earned net income attributable to equity holders of $6.1 million, or four cents per share for the period ended June 30, compared to $25.6 million or 15 cents per share in the same period last year. It recorded sales of $44.5 million, down from $69.7 million year over year on a lower realized silver price and lower metal production.
