Silver Star Mountain to host Interski team trials

Silver Star Mountain will be hosting the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance Western Interski team trials this Thursday, Feb 16. With 60 of Western Canada’s best ski instructors vying to be on the initial team heading to Interski Bulgaria in 2019.

Being chosen as a member of the CSIA Interski Team is a major milestone in an instructor’s career.

SilverStar has a number of members who have had the privilege of representing their country at this prestigious event – Brian James – Norm Crerar – Guy Paulsen – Simon Holden – Marie Cat Bruno – Martin Olson – Norman Kreutz to name a few.

Come out a see some of the best skiers in Western Canada vie for a spot on the team.

We have approximately 50 Level 4 ski instructors trying out.

The day will go as follows:

  • Run #1 - Start- 9:00am sharp on Holy Smokes (Four runs will be judged and marked on Holy Smokes one right after another.)
  • Bump Run – we are looking to use High Lead
