The Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge in Chase is getting ready to reopen its sanctuary to the public again.

Visitors can enjoy the company of donkeys again on Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays between April 30 and June 26.

The sanctuary was closed to the public due to COVID-19.

“We still have to finish our snowmelt season and then we go through what we like to call the Mud Season,” the refuge says on its website.

Donkey visits cost $12 when purchased online in advance. On weekends the sanctuary will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Another way to enjoy the donkeys' company is on Quiet Tuesday which cost $20 per booking.
