Showers and lower temperatures forecast later this week in the Okanagan

The hot temperatures experienced in the Okanagan over the past week appear to coming to an end. Cooler temperatures are on the way for the valley, with a possibility of some mid-week rain.

Warm conditions should prevail for the next couple of days, however, with temperatures forecast to hit 32 Celsius today, Aug. 4, and 33 C tomorrow. Expect lows of 16 C tonight and 17 C tomorrow.

Thursday could see a change with periods of rain expected throughout the valley and a daytime high of only 23 C.

There’s also a 30 per cent chance of showers overnight Thursday, with a low of 12 C.

The sun should return on Friday and stick around for the weekend.

Friday’s high should reach 26 C under sunny skies with a sun and cloud mix forecast for Saturday and Sunday, and highs of 26 C and 28 C respectively.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 29 C and lows of 13 C.
