Environment Canada says to expect lots of clouds in the Okanagan this week, along with seasonal temperatures and the chance of showers on several days.

OKANAGAN - There’s mostly grey skies and showers in the Okanagan forecast this week as temperatures return to more seasonal values for September.
Environment Canada says there is a 60 per cent chance of showers in the Okanagan today, Sept. 9, with a risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon. Winds are expected from the northwest at 20 km/h becoming light this evening. It should reach a high of 16 C in Vernon, 18 C in Kelowna and 21 C in Penticton today, with overnight lows of 12 C in all three cities.
Showery weather tomorrow could see between five and 10 mm of rain in the valley, with a high of 17 C in Vernon, 18 C in Kelowna and 21 C in Penticton. Overnight lows are expected to dip to 12 C in the Okanagan.
A mix of sun and cloud is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, with highs of 23 C and 24 C respectively.
On Friday, the weather office is calling for a 60 per cent chance of showers with a high of 22 C.
The weekend looks like it could be cloudy and cool at this point, with a 60 per cent chance of showers forecast for Saturday and Sunday. Highs are expected to reach 18 C on Saturday and 19 C on Sunday.
Normal temperatures at this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 21 C and lows of 8 C.
